Prof Debbie Shalev

Prof. Shalev is the Chairperson of the Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering at the Azrieli College of Engineering Jerusalem. Prof. Shalev has broad experience in research in various fields and is the External Affairs Liason of the Azrieli Collage of Engineering.

Jonathan Goldstein

Jonathan Goldstein focuses on strategic VC investments in Europe and Israel. He has been working for Boston Scientific Corporation (BSC) since 2012, interfacing with Israeli technology and projects, and generating collaborations across the spectrum of BSC’s R&D, Venture and Business Development functions. Jonathan also manages the Corporate Research Division’s Worldwide Scouting Team, supporting Divisional and Corporate teams in identifying relevant next generation technologies and companies for the company’s pipeline. Jonathan holds a BSc. in Chemistry & Biochemistry from Imperial College, London, and an MBA from the University of London.

Dr. Nurit Tweezer Zaks

Dr. Nurit Tweezer-Zaks is an Operating Partner with aMoon. Nurit brings to aMoon twelve years of experience with Sanofi, initially as the Medical Director of Sanofi Israel and then as a Senior Director at Sanofi’s Global R&D arm for External Innovation & Scouting. Nurit was also the Medical Lead at Sanofi for Global Established Products and Strategic Portfolio Enhancement. Prior to Sanofi Nurit served over a decade as Senior Physician at Sheba Medical Center and Maccabi Health Services as a Specialist in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology, and as a Clinical and Research fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland. Nurit earned her BSc and MD degrees at Ben Gurion University and her MBA at Kellogg Business School and the Tel Aviv University.

Dr Yaron Suissa

Dr Suissa holds his degrees from the Hebrew University and led the pre-clinical research testing a new treatment for Pancreatic Neuro-Endocrine Tumors. He served as the head of R&D at TenCure, Manager of Business development and operations at NextGen-BioMed and the CSO at Molecular Detection Israel LTD.

David Braun

David Braun is Head of Merck Healthcare Medical Device Business. Mr. Braun is an executive leader that has 20 years of experience in research and development, operations, strategy and business management working in Europe, USA and Asia, in startups and large multinational companies. Through his career Mr. Braun gained significant experience designing winning organizations, leading and coaching cross functional teams bringing innovative products from ideation to launch. David holds a Master degree in applied physics from the Louis Pasteur University in Strasbourg and an Engineering Degree in Electro-Optical Engineering from the Jerusalem College of Technology. He has participated in Executive leadership programs at IMD Business School in Lausanne.

Ilan Goldstein

Ilan Goldstein, is a Director of Merchavia and BIO-Tech Investment (Public  MRHL: Israel) and has been instrumental in transforming the Company from a real estate investment focus to a Bio-Tech investment focus, including building strategic investments relations with leading players from the health care industry. Ilan also serves as the CEO of Slope Realty Co., which manages and develops real estate properties across the US, Europe and Israel. In addition, he is also the CEO of Elan Global Group, a Hi-Tech Investments group that builds and manages a high-tech investment portfolio. Ilan earned his Law degree from Fordham University.

Yaron Zakheym z”l

The officers of the JLM-BioCity and its Board of Advisors honor the memory of our colleague and friend Mr. Zakhyem who served as the CEO of Rafa Laboratories Ltd., a Jerusalem-based manufacturer and marketer of pharmaceuticals in Israel and abroad, which employs over 230 people in Israel. Mr. Zakhyem was an accountant by training, and served in the past as Arledan’s CFO. In addition, Mr. Zakhyem served as a director in Diet Watch Ltd. and was a member of the board of the College of Engineering and MATI Buisness development Center in Jerusalem.
