HIL Applied Medical names Reno, Nevada its North American headquarters after University Collaboration

Aug 4, 2017 A continuing collaboration between Jerusalem-based HIL Applied Medical and the University of Nevada, Reno has led to the Israeli-based company naming Reno as its North American headquarters. HIL Applied Medical will also invest in the advanced equipment at the University’s Nevada Terawatt Facility, where world-class research in high-energy-density science is conducted.

HIL Applied Medical is an emerging leader in the development of high-performance proton therapy systems for the treatment of cancer. The University’s Nevada Terawatt Facility is one of the National Nuclear Security Administration’s Science Centers, home to the largest university laser and pulsed-power accelerator combination in the United States and part of the College of Science.
