Neteera Completes $13 Million Investment Series B Funding Round!

Israeli startup Neteera Technologies, which is headquartered in Jerusalem, has closed their B-round in deteriorating market conditions a $13M round giving them a significant runway in a period of economic uncertainty. The round was led by Aeuscuvest, a prominent European healthcare investment firm, with additional support from new and existing investors, namely Omega Healthcare Investors and Premium Vitals.

Neteera leapfrogged ahead of the competition with the world’s first FDA-cleared sub-THz radar for contactless monitoring of vital signs of patients in hospitals and in nursing homes. The remote patient monitoring solution enables continuous, contactless, passive monitoring of vital signs and bio-data, such as heart rate, respiration rate, respiration depth, and inhale-exhale ratio.

“When our heart beats and when we breathe, certain movements are created in our bodies,” Isaac Litman, Neteera founder and CEO explains. “Our device transmits a very weak and safe signal that knows how to penetrate clothing or linen but not the skin — it’s noninvasive. Once that signal touches the skin, it sees the skin’s movement and brings it back to the system. We then translate the skin movement into actionable data. Moreover, if tomorrow we’d like to add features such as sleep monitoring or sleep disorder detection, you don’t need to switch the system. These additional features can be added with only a software update.”

Basically, it is a small device that monitors vital signs from five feet away and eliminates the need to undress or be hooked up to anything. The device senses through clothing and bedding.

The information is gathered via API with Neteera’s HealthGate which is cloud data management and analysis solution that improves workflow efficiency by providing seamless data with no stress, no device manipulation, or maintenance. Neteera ’s HealthGate integrates into facilities’ EHR/EMR system. The Neteera patient monitoring system can be used in hospitals, outpatient care facilities, nursing homes, or at home.

During the first quarter of 2023, Neteera began large-scale commercial deployments and volume production. Years of relentless work and a process-driven approach laid the foundation on which Neteera is now building market momentum and increasing brand value.

Omega Healthcare Investors is a leading US-based Healthcare REIT (NYSE: OHI) with a particular focus on skilled nursing homes and long-term care facilities across the United States and the United Kingdom. As part of Omega Healthcare Investors’ investment, Neteera was defined as Omega Healthcare Investors’ remote patient monitoring strategic partner, and both parties signed a commercial agreement to finance an initial Neteera deployment in Omega Healthcare Investors facilities with its monitoring technology. Considering Omega Healthcare Investors’s footprint and ownership of more than 900 facilities, this is a major milestone for Neteera.

Since 2023. Neteera also began commercial deployments with a leading remote patient monitoring company in the US. Over the last 3 months, Neteera has deployed its solutions at approximately 20 long-term care facilities across the US, having received FDA approval last September. Neteera is also HIPAA- and GDPR-compliant. These deployments are the tip of the iceberg, with dozens of facilities and tens of thousands of beds still to come – these are exciting times for sure!
