As a precursor to the Feb 18th mHealth Israel conference, prepare to roll up your sleeves for a lecture and discussion by three prominent Global Pharma execs. Thirty minutes of lectures, exploring the current scenario and framing the future challenges, followed by a discussion.
Lecturers:
Jeremy Sohn, Head of Digital Business Development & Licensing, Novartis
Jeremy Sohn is responsible for overseeing technology and digital health-related business development and licensing efforts in Novartis Pharma and is part of the BD&L and Digital leadership teams. He serves as a digital health and life-sciences advisor to Boston Millennia Partners. He also is a SMART (Substitutable Medical Apps & Reusable Technology) Advisory Committee Member. SMART has brought together researchers, industry partners, clinicians, and other stakeholders to lay the groundwork necessary to enable a tectonic shift to a flexible health IT environment.
David Goren, Head of Worldwide Digital Health Innovation, AstraZeneca
David Goren recently became Vice President Digital Health Innovation, AstraZeneca after serving as the Country President (CP) of AstraZeneca Israel since the establishment of the Israeli operations in 2007. In 2011, David led AstraZeneca’s global initiative to achieve Competitive Distinction Through Integrity (CDTI). David has extensive experience in setting up new life science businesses, having begun his career in the pharmaceutical industry in 1991 with Pfizer in the US, holding various sales and marketing positions.
In 1997, David moved to Israel to start Pfizer operations and became the CEO and General Manager of Pfizer Israel. David returned to Pfizer US Headquarters in 2004 to lead their Worldwide Strategy and Business Development Group. He left Pfizer in 2007 to take on the challenge of starting the AstraZeneca operations in Israel. David holds a BA in Biology from Clark University, an MBA from Columbia University and has attended Harvard and INSEAD Executive Management Programs.
